Our menus offer healthy and balanced options that include nutritious and organic vegetables, herbs and salads.

We are proud to offer “Pong Krai” organic forest coffee served during breakfast. The Arabica coffee bean, the product of the Catimor breeding line from Columbia and is well-grown under the shade of forest trees with care by the local villagers in Baan Pong Krai, Maerim, Chiang Mai. In addition, MiVana organic forest coffee, an award- winning coffee providing a livelihood for many in small rural communities in Chiang Rai, is available throughout the day at every restaurant.

Krua Phranang Thai Restaurant Refurnishing Announcement

December 2023 – Krabi, Thailand, Rayavadee has announced the unveiling of the refurbished Krua Phranang, Thai restaurant. The space boasts a refreshing new decor, tableware, and beautifully designed plates. The restaurant promises to continue its tradition of offering authentic Thai cuisine which indulges your senses, maintaining its past reputation.

Stroll along a moonlit path to Phranang Beach and experience the ultimate dinner by the sea at Krua Phranang, the resort’s romantic Thai restaurant. Enjoy a menu of classic Thai dishes with specials that include delicious curries, salads, soups, seafood and freshly-caught fish.

The dining room offers air-conditioned and open-air seating with views over the stunning beach, limestone cliffs and outlying islands. After a memorable dinner, retire to the outdoor deck for a digestive and stargaze as the sound of the waves break below you on the shore.

Yi Peng Festival

November 2023 – Chiang Mai, Thailand – The “Yi Peng” festival, which takes place each year on the full moon in November is one of Chiang Mai’s most colorful and lively celebrations. The word “Yi Peng” is the northern Thai term referring to the full moon of the 12th lunar month in the Buddhist calendar. Known as Loy Krathong throughout the rest of the Kingdom, the highlight of the festival is the floating of the krathong when people of all ages make their way to rivers and canals near their homes to make krathong offerings to the water goddess, Mae Kong Kha, in a gesture of homage and thanks. Traditionally Thai people lived along waterways and relied on a regular supply of water to sustain their rice crops. This special ceremony takes place just after the rice is harvested as the cool weather sets in and is one of the most memorable and charming of all Thai rituals. The kratong is an offering made from banana stem and decorated with leaves, flowers, incense, candles and auspicious items such as coins. As people light the incense and candles they make a wish and release their kratong down the river in the belief bad luck from the year before will be carried away with it.  The magic of Yi Peng celebrations will surely make an impression in the minds of visitors

lucky enough to experience it firsthand for a long to come.

In Chaing Mai, festive activities take place from the 26th – 28th  November 2023. A highlight of this special period happens a day before the full moon at Wat Phan Tao in the evening when the monks of the temple decorate the garden with many candles and hold a meditation in the prayer hall before releasing lanterns into the night sky. On the first day of the festival, visit the opening ceremony held at 18:00 hrs. at Thapae Gate and explore the Yi Peng parade festivities on offer around Chiang Mai. The festival continues on the next day with several events around Chiang Mai old town including boat races, krathong making & parades. On the last day, enjoy the parade festivities and float your krathong at the Ping River for good luck.

Situated in the heart of Krabi’s beautiful Phranang Peninsula on the border of Krabi Marine National Park, an area renowned for its natural beauty and rich flora, fauna and marine life. The name “Rayavadee” originates from the Thai language, where “Raya” means “princess” and “vadee” signifies “land.” When the resort was built more than three decades ago, it was with the idea of living in balance within this unique environment.  The accommodation was constructed to nestle in between the property’s many trees, none of which were cut during the process, in order to blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings.  

In recent years, Krabi has developed rapidly for tourism, leading to a significant increase in visitor numbers. Maintaining this balance has become an even more crucial challenge, strengthening our commitment to environmental sustainability and active community engagement. We regularly organize and participate in activities such as beach cleaning, mangrove planting, and marine life repopulation. We take immense pride in being a founding member of the Enlive Foundation. Established in 2009, this foundation brings together governmental agencies, local businesses, and community members to raise awareness about the importance of protecting Krabi’s fragile ecosystem.

As part of our ongoing efforts, we are actively involved in the “Railay Model” project, which aims to preserve, enhance, and sustain the Railay touristic area. This collaborative initiative encompasses not only Rayavadee but also the local community, fellow resort businesses, hotels, restaurants, and entrepreneurs in the region. By working hand in hand, we strive to preserve this unique environment, ensuring that future generations and nature enthusiasts can cherish it just as we do. In addition, Rayavadee has donated part of the proceeds to support education to four schools in Krabi province.

November 2019 – Krabi, Thailand – Rayavadee takes pride in raising awareness of sustainable tourism with other 19 hotels, our visitors, volunteers and Rayavadee’s team member through beach cleaning at neighborhood’s area ‘Railay Beach Cleaning (RCA)’ on every Wednesday.

Rayavadee’s underlying philosophy has always been to co-exist in harmony with the uniquely beautiful natural environment of the Phranang Peninsula, a fragile place with a rich and unique landscape of mountains, jungle and sea replete.

Rayavadee works as a proactive member of the community to support initiatives that raise awareness of sustainable tourism practices and the importance of protecting the environment. We regularly help to organize beach cleanings, marine life releases, and mangrove planting events, all of which foster understanding between community members, local businesses and visitors.

Volunteers are able to participate activities to collect garbage along Railay Beach from 14:30 – 15:30 on every Wednesday.
